Well, that depends on who you ask, but we’ve created this list of the top Wordle starting words using a combination of our Wordle-obsessed employees and a little bit of computing so you can raise your score every day. Utilize this list to surpass your relatives and friends and pursue the sought two- or three-guess answers, making you appear competent to your loved ones. My preferred Wordle approach consists of two steps: Prioritize the vowels and then focus on the most prevalent consonants to focus. Consider which letters have the lowest value, and make sure you can fit them in your first guess if, like me, you spent way too much time playing that game. “ATONE” and “IRATE” are usually good initial tries because they allow you to check the puzzle for three vowels and a few often occurring letters in their customary placements. When I first started using Wordle, I needed more focus. It took me a whole week to recall that letters may be repeated because I kept trying letters that I knew weren’t there (seriously, Wordle needs some indicator for repeated notes). I now have a plan that I’ve been playing for three weeks. I begin with the firm word ARISE, which eliminates three vowels and two typical consonants. For some reason, vowels are simpler for my brain to process than consonants, so I place them as rapidly as possible. Contrary to what you would anticipate, you should not worry too much about it. I want to guess the word for the day with the fewest number of tries possible, but I’m careful to avoid making Wordle into a chore by trying to min/max my way to that objective. I try coming up with words with vowels and more typical letters (I avoid X, Z, and Q), but I try a new comment each day and go with the flow.
